The Internship Experience at Millenilink

My name is Madison, and I am currently the Chief of Staff at Millenilink, my experience at Millenilink began with a summer internship as a Tech Market Research Intern. In this role, I was met with opportunities to learn about the technology industry as well as labour market, grow my skills conducting relevant research on our target market and be challenged professionally. Working in this role, I was constantly extracting information, skills and organizational abilities from our CEO Sabe, the team, and constantly learning about how to apply my findings about specific markets and business practices. My internship continued throughout the school year, where I took on additional responsibilities and was welcomed into strategic meetings. I genuinely began building relationships with Millenilink clients and partners.

Upon my recent graduation, I was offered a full-time role as Chief of Staff. Although the role was initially intimidating, I drew on the memory of my summer experience. Specifically, how I was guided and given resources to increase my abilities, knowledge, and skills. Having set a strong precedent during my internship, I was confident that my eagerness to learn would be met with the support of the Millenilink team, and I would be provided with resources and meaningful discussions that would expand upon my abilities.

My internship experience not only allowed me to ease my path into starting my career, but I was also able to better understand the team and the business before coming on full-time. This gave me a better footing to make a decision I was confident in while entering a competitive workforce as a New Grad.

Reflecting on my journey, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities and mentorship at Millenilink. What began as an internship has evolved into an exciting full-time position, where I continue to learn, grow, and contribute to a team that values both personal and professional development.
