Network Security Architect

One of Millenilink’s clients is hiring a Network Security Architect for a 1-year contract with the opportunity to extend. This opportunity can be remote, however must be able to work Pacific time zone hours from time to time as the client is in Vancouver. The successful candidate will be joining our Consulting client’s project team working with an enterprise end client. This is a network segmentation project and the role requires the subject matter expert to lead the end client to achieve their network security goals via network architecture, firewall management, and virtualization, particularly with Palo Alto and FortiGate technologies. Excellent written and verbal communication is required.

In order to qualify for this opportunity candidates MUST have:

• Network Security experience including with the latest security protocols, encryption standards and threat methodologies

• Experience in the design and deployment of network security gateways (firewalls), intrusion prevention/detection systems, network asset control systems and endpoint controls systems

• Experience with network architecture diagrams, including network analysis, design, protocols and infrastructure such as LAN/WAN, SDN and cloud networking

• Deep understanding of Routing protocols and configurations

• Proficiency in wireless and mobile networking standards

• Experience with advanced networking concepts such as virtualization, cloud services and software-defined networking (SDN)

• Experience with virtualization for achieving network segmentation.

• Experience with VDOMs and VRF tunnels

• Proven experience in a client facing role and ability to work with end client in a technical advisory role

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
